I am selling the four (4) Lycoming Cylinder assemblies that my A&P removed from my 0-320-D2J engine.
I see other Lycoming LW-12416 cylinders listed on eBay but I don't see any bore dimensions which would validate the integrity of those cylinders.
If you read my entire description you will see that I disclose the bore dimensions of my cylinder and the exact procedure I followed to determine the dimensions and refer to the specific Lycoming documentation outlining the procedure. I did this for one purpose, to verify the dimensional integrity of my cylinders.
THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE (1) CYLINDER W/ PISTON, WRIST PIN, WRIST PIN END CAPS, VALVES, VALVE SPRINGS & KEEPERS, AND ROCKER SHAFT IN CONDITION AS REMOVED.
THIS LISTING IS FOR THE #2 CYLINDER AND ITS RELATIVE COMPONENTS AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
NO OTHER PARTS ARE INCLUDED, ONLY THE PARTS PICTURED IS WHAT IS BEING OFFERED.

I purchased a Fowler bore gauge kit, a Fowler bore gauge setting kit and a set of NIST certified gauge blocks and proceeded to measure the bore diameters IAW Lycoming instructions on page 1-7 of SSP-1776-5-PT1.
I marked a line from the cylinder base edge to the center line of the intake and exhaust valves and another 90 degrees adjacent. I then marked one inch increments from the cylinder base edge up five inches on both lines. I carefully measured each indexed mark and recorded the measurements.
I also measured each piston at the skirt base across the centerline of the wrist pin and at the piston tops at the base of the chamfer across the centerline of the wrist pin and at 90 degrees adjacent.
All measurements were well within the allowable usable service tolerances.
Here are the dimensions of the # 2 Cylinder & Piston: measured at 70 degrees Stabil room temperature

I did not take any action to clean the pistons, valves or valve seats. The cylinder bores are perfectly clean and smooth, there is no corrosion whatsoever. I expect that the valves will only need to be cleaned and lapped to attain acceptable compression for useful service. Obviously you would want to do a quick crosshatch honing of the cylinder bores and install a new set of rings.
