This NOS Piper PA-18 Airbox is a genuine part manufactured by Piper. This is new old stock. Never installed on an aircraft. It is in perfect condition. The welds and brazing on it are perfect. As new. There is very slight, Really light rusting on the top surface. Call it shelf worn. I would give it a paint job. It’s otherwise perfect. It functions through all detent positions as designed. The flapper valve completely closes and opens perfectly. It is not bent or scratched or deformed in any way. It is Specifically designed for the Piper PA-18. New and never installed. Some people have also adapted it to the PA 20 and 22, by using a carburetor spacer. Bid with confidence.
