Chance to own a rare Beechcraft Model 1079 known as the QU-22B a highly modified Bonanza A-36 developed as a high altitude remote control drone for the Vietnam war. Out of the 27 built very few exist with only 2 flying examples and one at the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum . It routinely flew to 30,000 feet, had 8 foot wing extensions, held 200 gallons of fuel, a Continental GTSIO-520G of 375 Hp and structural modifications for a 5,300 lb gross weight. The aircraft includes the fuselage and a set of wings with the fuel bladders installed. It is located at the Marathon Florida Airport, inspection can be scheduled, and more detailed photos are available upon request.
