Parallel valve engines (like the O-320, O-360, and O-540) use different parts than angle valve engines. To seal the cover and prevent oil leaks, use a silicon gasket. Billet aluminum covers use a rubber O-ring seal. This prevents the metal from warping when you tighten the bolts.
