Original Continental 36170 77 main bearing set pulled from a Continental O-300-A with no logs/unknown hours. There are no deep scratches or excessive wear exposing the interior metals. These seem to be usable, however I am not an A&P. I will provide more photos/answer more questions if requested. I am not sure of the value so looking for offers.
Backstory: I was lucky enough to find an estate/hangar sale with a Continental O-300-A aircraft engine tucked away in a corner. The oil pan was missing. No logs were found. I disassembled the engine and found that the crank/bearings were original, never serviced. I rotated the crank in the case and dial indicator did not show that the crank was bent at all. Likely cause was that the oil pan was rotten and engine was just swapped. After talking with the family members, the engine was likely in the corner of the hanger for close to 30 years (the hangar had not been opened for almost 5 years, and 10 years since the aircraft in the hangar last flew).
