The skid is 1" wide and 6" long. It is made out of 3/16" thick 300 series Stainless Steel. It will accept up to a 1-3/4" O.D. 3/8" thread tie down ring. This skid will eliminate bending of the tie down ring and damage to the tail. This is a must have for training aircraft. The skid is currently mounted on several experimental and certified aircraft. It is 30 % thicker than the OEM 172 tail skid.

I should not have to add this but some people assume what they want to be. There is no paper work with this part. No 8130 no STC no PMA. There has been several put on certified aircraft by IAs without paperwork but if you feel you need paperwork dont buy this.
