In this case the work order number is: WDC 54121.  Also, both halves of the crankcase are stamped CS13719 to show that they have been machined as a pair and that these two go together.  I have spent hours looking at different websites trying to match the numbers stamped on this case with engine model numbers and I haven't been able too.  This case came from a hanger/garage where the owner had passed away. The family needed everything sold because they are a bit short on money.  Unfortunately they lost his Aero Commander Airplane that was parked at some airport because of unpaid rent. He was trying to refurbish this plane. I believe it required two Lycoming engines which he was also working on. There are parts everywhere and no one knew what went with what. The crankcase was by itself wrapped in a sealed polyethylene bag. That's about what I know. I can't find any paperwork certifying air worthyness so  if for some reason some FAA third party inspectors found this case to be NOT airworthy then of course you would get a refund. but I believe that would be very very unlikely.
