SHOULDER HARNESS INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

The Alpha Aviation, TSO-C114, Three Point Diagonal Shoulder Harness installation is similar to that found in late model Beechcraft aircraft. It is available in two models; one which includes a manually adjustable shoulder strap and the other featuring sidewall mounted inertial reels.
Owners upgrading to this system will benefit from an increase in personal safety, brought about by the installation of a torso restraint system, as well as, a high degree of passenger acceptance, over other more cumbersome arrangements.
The Alpha Aviation installation is available in kit form. Each kit includes the required modification parts for both pilot positions and new TSO-C114 restraint systems manufactured by AMSAFE Incorporated. The installation of the manually adjusted kit can be accomplished in as little as eight hours, with minimal disassembly required. The inertial reel equipped installation requires the removal of the aircraft.s interior side panels for installation of the inertial reel mounts.
In addition to the choice of a fixed restraint installation or inertial reel mounted system, the safety belts are available in a range of stock colors or can be ordered from a selection of over 80 colors. Matching replacement rear lap belts are also available.
The installation of the Model 3RS-114FS or Model 3RS-114IR belt system requires that an upper attachment point be created at each pilot position and that the replacement belt assemblies be installed using the existing lap belt attachments and the newly created left and right upper attachment points.
