Our Private Pilot Accelerated Pilot Program is an intensive 3-week course that gets you prepared to be a licensed FAA Private Pilot. First Landings Aviation prepares you through our advanced training techniques. You will arrive at First Landings Aviation having studied for and ready to take the FAA private pilot written test. Upon passing we concentrate on training you to be a safe, responsible, and experienced Private Pilot ready to pass the FAA practical test. Our facilities have a luxurious pilot's lounge allowing you a place to study while here.

Weather is a factor and may increase the required time to complete your training. This course requires complete time commitment and a full 21 days of training. Your days will be spent flight training, in ground school, and studying.

If you don't have 3 weeks to set aside then we can also provide the training to you as your schedule permits.

This Private Pilot package is no guarantee of a certificate, some people may find that they require more than the minimum times required by the FAA. With our highly skilled instructors and superior program we will help you to finish in a minimum amount of time.

The major elements of your training will include the following:

Preparation for your written knowledge exam

You will study for and pass a 70-question written test that will include basic aviation knowledge. You can take your test at any time during your training, and the test is given right here at our own facilities.

Dual Instruction

 

This is the fun part of your training.  During this time you will take the controls of the airplane and fly with an instructor in our aircraft as you learn how to control the airplane and perform the various maneuvers required to pass the final certification exam.

Obtaining your Medical and Student Pilot Certificate:

As a Private Pilot you are required to complete a class 3 medical certification (unless you’ve had one in the previous 10 years) to exercise pilot-in-command privileges. To compete this exam you must undergo a medical examination from an Aviation Medical Examiner, or AME, there are several in the local area and we can help you find one.

Solo Flights

Touching down softly after your first solo flight is a feeling unlike any other you have experienced. All pilots vividly recall the details of their first solo flight.  Working with your instructor you will solo the aircraft as soon as they feels you are up to the task. It’s an unforgettable moment when they climb out of the airplane and set you free to fly on your own. You will fly solo for at least 10 hours during your training.

Cross-Country Flights

Cross-country flights allow you to explore new places and make full use of your pilot certificate. You will learn navigation techniques and cross-country planning! Our Tecnam aircraft are fully GPS and glass panel capable which when on a cross country flight is a nice advantage. You’ll also need to complete one night cross-country flight with your instructor.

The Check Ride

Once the minimum requirements for a Private Pilot certificate are completed, and your flight instructor is satisfied that your training is complete, you will need to pass an oral a practical exam with an FAA examiner.  This practical test will involve an oral examination during which the FAA-appointed examiner will discuss important points and look for your understanding of basic aviation information and skills.  Once you pass the oral, the examiner will fly with you in the aircraft you have trained in, evaluating your ability to perform basic flight maneuvers in a safe manner. Once you successfully complete your examination you will be awarded your very own Private Pilot certificate. From there you are free to roam the skies on your own, with or without passengers.

Included in this auction is:

Flight Hours in our Tecnam P92 Aircraft (including fuel) ................40 Hours

The Private Pilot Kit

The only additional items you will need to budget for are your written test fee ($165), practical test fee ($550), headset ($150), travel, lodging, sales tax and any additional time over 40 hours that you might need.  The aircraft rents for $119/hr including fuel. Instruction is $65/hr.

The winning bidder is required to pay a deposit of $1000 within 24 hours and the remaining balance within 7 days of auction close (Cash or check). This package is non-refundable or transferable.  There is no time limit on using the program.
