Below are the items that are mandatory to fix in order to make the plane airworthy per local maintenance shop:

Below are the additional items that were listed on the discrepancy list, however, are not mandatory but recommended:

  • Carb heat cable retaining clip found loose in firewall attach point
  • Cylinders 1&3 inner cylinder baffle found detached from cylinders and loose
  • Crankcase breather discharge line found cracked and worn through near bottom end
  • Engine baffles found with numerous cracks
  • Fuel tank vent line found loose and has deteriorating grommet
  • Entire headliner found upholstered with unapproved material and is restricting required access to interior headliner bay
  • Co-pilots window fwd hinge pin found coming out of hinge
  • Co-pilots door wedge plate and shim found missing
  • L&R main gear housing lower attach screws found loose
  • Rudder top cap fairing found with large crack in close proximity to tail nav light unit
  • Baggage compartment empennage bulkhead found with stress cracks on both sides
  • LH-yoke tube found chafing on carb heat cable at full aft
  • RH-wing leading edge found damaged and end rib cap found cracked
  • Rudder spine found with numerous loose/smoking rivets
  • Carb air box surround found missing (not installed)
  • Tail tie down ring found bent
  • Lower cowl snubber shock mount deteriorated/coming apart
