Unlike the competition, we do not use inferior materials such as PLA, PETG, or ABS. Cockpit surfaces regularly reach temperatures in excess of 170 degrees F when parked on sunny days. Our mounts use a high-quality engineering grade material (ASA) that can withstand temperatures in excess of 190F without softening, melting, warping, or losing functionality. Others will claim temperature resistance of up to 160 degrees and tell you that is adequate. There is a critical difference between surface temperatures and air temperature (think about sitting on hot, black leather seats in a car parked in the sun). These softer plastics may be fine for cooler climates, but not for most places....and don't even think about flying to Florida, California, or Texas!!!
They are tested for strength on all 3 axis (strengths vary depending on the axis (X: 40 In-lbs torque, Y: 40 In-lbs torque, Z: 25 In-lbs). This is way more then they will ever need during normal use...but even if you do HULK-out on them...we have you covered for the lifetime of the product. Your headset will be out of date long before our warranty!. And don't be fooled by others who measure in pounds instead of torque (in-lbs or ft-lbs), because even a toothpick can hold 40 lbs if the weight is placed a nanometer from the origin.
Don't like our double sided adhesive?...drill holes in the base to fit your mounting needs, or replace it with the velcro of your choice. Mount it in any orientation: upside down, inverted....inside out (if you can figure out how the heck to do that!!!!)...it doesn't matter. The holder will stay put through high G aerobatics and turbulence.
