Air Ryder 100DT 1.8l Turbo Subaru aircraft engine. COMPLETE FIREWALL FWD! Cowling to spinner. This engine is rated at 100hp all the way to 18,500'! Direct drive with a custom profiled 3 blade Ward Drive prop. Ellison pressure carb/throttle body. Save yourself the fit and finish hassle with a new install and bolt up this trouble free reliable runner.
I purchased a KR-2s with this Subaru engine on it. This is a $8,000+ firewall forward package when new. Have flown it a bit and it works great. Total time on engine is 365hrs since rebuild. 31"mp at 3600rpm at 10,500' trues out at 160-165mph burning a bit under 5gph. Have seen 170mph true with prop set 1degree more pitch but at 3500rpm. 35-35MPG!! Put 5hrs on it last few days. Northern California to SoCal and back. Oil temp and coolant average 40deg Celsius. Still on airplane and flying till sold. Complete firewall fwd- cowl, spinner, prop radiator, control cables, engine mount, ect. Only thing not included is gascollator and battery. I have some O-200's and will be using this KR for a test bed for them. That is the reason for removal. Bolt this right up to your KR, Quickie, Europa or Sonerai. Or anything else that is quick and would benefit from a turbo application.
Takeoff. 40-45"mp Up to 4000rpm
Cruise. 32-38"mp. 32-3800rpm.

This is a 12year old plane with 365hrs on it. The cowling is in great shape but could use a little touch up paint. A few of the louvers on the underside are broke. All simple cosmetic stuff.
Have prop, Ellison throttle body and Air Ryder info packets. Also have all the documentation on the engine overhaul.
Engine is in current annual and can share the log entry of needed.

Truck shipping usually comes out to $350-$400. Plan on 230lbs with cowl, prop ect. That is your job to get shipping lined up if needed. Don't ask me how much to ship. You look it up.
