This air-cooled Continental Engine has 6-Cylinders, and is a used engine, and is stored disassembled in a box. It comes without
warranty, and without logs, and without accessories such as mags, starter, generator, fuel injector/carb and you should assume
it is missing several associated or internal parts, or that some parts included may have to be replaced depending upon your use.
Total hours are unknown. You should consider it for its value to you such as for parts, or its value for use in experimentals, or
an airboat, or consider a rebuild, or using some of its parts to assist you rebuilding your Continental IO-470.
There are many similarities in design between O-470 engines and IO-470 engines. The IO-470 shares a number of the basic type of
engine parts with the Continental O-470 type, similar in design... with a different induction system. Continental over the years,
has developed or evolved more than 18 versions total, or sub-types of the Continental IO-470 and/or 0-470 engines over the years.
