RMI micro encoder removed in good working order from my RV 6A during a panel upgrade. More info about this instrument is at rkymtn website. The website also shows the face when powered up.
This is a Mode C altitude encoder that also displays vertical speed, density altitude, pressure altitude, outside air temperature. It is usually mounted in place of the VSI.
