This control yoke is off of a Piper Tri-Pacer
I had it acrylic media stripped and it is great shape.
there is some slight rust pitting showing through the shaft bit still usable, the chrome is not peeling off.
ive seen people sand these shafts down and paint them with heavy duty urethane with good results.
