The CGS hawk ultralight airplane, was designed to. be flown locally basically out of your own backyard for short distances, possibly taken apart, in four pieces, transported, reassembled, and flown at another location, taken apart, and returned to be stored at home at a location of your choice waiting to be flown again the next weekend. The C G S Hawk is a true 3 axis airplane with joystick control, A very strong airframe, powerful, TA440, 40 hp Kawasaki 2 cylinder, air cooled engine, with Electric or manual starting.
Many extra features – has duel exterior fuel tanks – fourth wheel stand – reinforced landing gear – self aligning castering front steerable nose wheel- Wheel pants – vertical instrument panel – cylinder head temperature gauges- cabin lighting – wingtip lights, red and green, 1 million candlepower, landing light, tail strobe light, comfortable fighter type removable seat cushions. A new battery and new fuel hose will be supplied with the airplane.
The airplane has large control surfaces and This makes it an excellent choice for pre-flight training, which can take off and land short, this air plane can take off, fly low, two or 3 feet above runway and land, stop, then turn around on the same runway and fly the other way. Warning you need permission to do this procedure.and you need to be aware of inbound traffic, you are compelled to yield and clear the runway for them to land, also for others looking to depart always be watching and aware of other traffic!!

Talk to experience, Many projects are never finished. A semi prepared kit cost north of 19K. A crude kit cost north of 14 K. This is without the motor or drive system. You can add 4K to 6K more, for the Motor and drive unit . And after you arrive at the finish line you will have a very spartan airplane.
Or simply buy, taxi, learn your plane, take lessions to fly, and fly. And change or improve your airplane as you learn and go. Or as a winter project, you can improve or make changes to have a deluxe version for less money than the crude kit. Is this something to think about?
Buyer is responsible for pick up in mid Michigan, airplane is disassembled now in three pieces ,for easy transportation by trailer over land, you will reassemble the airplane and and test at your location ,I will talk and help answer your questions and cooperate with this procedure,yes it may be taxied without wings to practice preflight.
The airplane dissembles easily for land tranportation and reassambles at new site. Can be picked up at my location with a simple light weight car hauler.
