This is one of two carburetors that I am selling for the estate of a friend. It is my understanding that this carburetor also was removed from a C85 when the aircraft was upgraded with an O-200 engine. The only modification that I know of is shown in one of the photos. That mod is an overlay extension on the mixture control to allow finer control of the mixture setting. I also know that the carburetor has not been in service for several years and should be serviced by the buyers mechanic or shop. It does appear that this carburetor was opened after being removed from the engine. The safety wire appears to be temporary and the fuel discharge in the venturi has not been safety wired.
This carburetor is being sold as "Not Airworthy" and prior to use on a certificated aircraft must be inspected and approved by a FAA certified shop or mechanic. The photos show all parts that are included in this listing. No warranty is expressed or implied for this carburetor.
Additional information. With the temporary safety wire I wondered if the internals had been "raided". I open it up this morning and added two additional photos showing that internal components are in place as shown.
