Hartzell Propeller Assy P/N HC-C2YK-1BF Fresh from the prop shop. 0 hours, never installed since. Total time unknown. New logbook and paperwork. Cleaned, inspected, eddy current check on the hub, balanced and painted. Ready for service on your 180 hp Arrow or Lycoming experimental. This is the older style "E" Hub which needs eddy current inspection every 100 hours. Not a big deal if you don't fly a ton. We have a guy around here that does them on the plane for a 100 bucks. I had this prop done for a project but that's not happening very fast so maybe you can use it sooner than I can. Thanks, Jamie
I got a question asking why only a repair and not overhaul?
Right. It was basically overhauled except Hartzell says he can't call it an overhaul because the hub requires eddy current inspection. It's Hartzell's way of trying to force these hubs off the market so they can sell new ones. An actual overhauls is a bit more paint and lots of new unnecessary parts. Needed parts were replaced in this "repair". Call the prop guy to hear it from him if you like.
